In class, I’ll guide you step by step through creating a useful backpack with pockets, zippered compartments, a magnetic flap and more. We’ll begin by going over the various features of your backpack and the tools and materials you’ll need to get started. Plus when you learn with Craftsy, you can go at your own pace and ask me questions along the way.   Next I’ll walk you through inserting a double-slide zipper into your backpack’s zipper strips, and shaping and attaching the zipper strip to the side strip to create the side area. Afterwards, complete your backpack’s front and back panels by adding all of your interior and exterior pockets, then shape the corners for professional results. We’ll wrap things up by assembling the front, back and sides of your backpack. I’ll show you how to sew and bind the inner seams using bias binding, and how to properly assemble and adjust your straps. Polish up your backpack by adding zipper pulls.
